CELEBRITIES REVEAL THEIR FAVORITE CHOCOLATE DESSERTS

The Celebrity Chocolate Buffet returns to Park 75

The acclaimed Chocolate Buffet at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta has returned by popular demand. And this year, it’s more decadent than ever!

For six weeks in February and March, Executive Chef Robert Gerstenecker of Park 75 Restaurant is inviting a local celebrity to join him in the kitchen on a Friday night. Each celebrity will share their favorite chocolate recipe for others to experience as part of the larger chocolate buffet, which includes 15 other chocolate desserts.

Whether it’s ‘Grandmother’s Double-Chocolate Brownies’ or “The Perfect Chocolate Kiss,” each celebrity host will not only contribute their favorite dessert, but spill their personal story behind the sweet treat.

“I look forward to this event every year,” said upcoming chocolate celebrity, Mychael Knight. Chocolate is like fashion—everyone has their favorite kind, and good chocolate never goes out of style.”

The 2010 line-up of chocolate celebrities includes: Mychael Knight, fashion designer and Season 3 finalist on Bravo’s Project Runway; Frank Ski, on-air personality and host of the top rated Frank & Wanda in the Morning Show and Chairman of the Frank Ski Kids Foundation; John McFall, the Artistic Director for The Atlanta Ballet Company; Xernona Clayton, President and CEO of the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Barking Hound Village owner and executive director of Fulton County Animal Services, David York, and Emily Giffin, New York Times bestselling author of Something Borrowed, Something Blue, Baby Proof and Love the One You’re With.

Year-after-year, Park 75’s all-you-can-eat Chocolate Buffet is the guilty pleasure destination for Atlanta locals and visitors alike. And this year, the chocolate creations will make you turn the other cheek at the grocery check-out and deny the pre-packaged goodies for Chef Gerstenecker’s Verona chocolate creations.

Some of the treats you can expect to enjoy include Chocolate Coffee Toffee Brownie, Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cake and Chocolate Mousse Parfait, not including the celebrity chocolate additions which will be added to the line up each week.

The Chocolate Buffet is available every Friday (February 19, 2010 to March 26, 2010) from 9pm until midnight, at Park 75 Lounge and Terrace, inside Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta. The buffet includes up to 15 ever-changing chocolate temptations for $20 per person.

The design of the room evokes a feeling of gothic elegance, featuring a color scheme of black and grey, offset with white. The warmth of the room comes from the texture of the dark wood floors, the unique mirror and glass features and the original art pieces created by designer/owner Alex Kinjo.

MF Room has been a labor of love for Alex. He has worked for the last year putting together every detail of the room’s redesign, including the new layout and logo, to choosing the unique building materials and furniture that allows the room to be transformed into a variety of arrangements.

“I designed MF Room as a unique and innovative space that can be personalized for anything from a private dinner for 10 to a fashion show for hundreds.

Park 75 Lets Loose

Restaurant ADOPTS A PLAYFUL ATMOSPHERE, LOCAL Dishes
with Southern Influence

ATLANTA – Beginning today, Park 75 Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta is loosening its tie and removing its coat to reveal its true Southern roots. Most commonly known as a special occasion restaurant, Park 75 is transforming into a destination that Executive Chef Robert Gerstenecker considers ‘Southern Steak Redefined’—a lively place for dinner, drinks and laughter with friends and family. With a unique, protein-based, Southern-inspired menu; lower prices; and a few more enhancements to come; Park 75 has just begun to reveal its new persona.

The changes to the menu are designed to give diners a sense of place and fully envelop them in Atlanta’s Southern roots. From brunch to breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of Park 75’s menu items incorporate a mostly-protein menu laced with local ingredients, including those grown in Executive Chef Robert Gerstenecker’s new garden on the hotel’s roof. From American Wagyu Skirt to Grass-Fed 8 ounce Tenderloin or Dry Aged Angus, ‘Southern Steak Redefined’ truly hits home when Park 75’s steaks are cooked to perfection on a Pecan wood-burning grill recently installed at the Mobil Four-Star restaurant. Park 75 fans of the past need not worry as favorites such as Day Boat Scallops, N.Y. State Duck and Maine Lobster remain as options on Park 75’s new Southern Steak menu.

Side items, including a ladder of Vidalia Onion Rings served in a copper skillet; Tempura Squash Blossoms served with honey from Gerstenecker’s bee garden and Parmesan Fries that are tripled fried for a crispy outside and fluffy inside, are just a few of the approachable additions to the new menu. Along with a selection of small plates and appetizers beginning at $6 each, these sides can be mixed and matched to create a playful meal, easily shared among dinner companions.

Brunch will be served on both Saturdays and Sundays, and acclaimed Birmingham jazz musician Eric Essix will perform every Tuesday and Wednesday evening from 7 to 10 p.m. The service, too, is undergoing a shift in attitude. Along with the new menu, Park 75 servers will bring a more friendly, comfortable and personable attitude to the table. All previous formalities associated with the restaurant will be removed as it becomes a destination where diners can enjoy anything from small plates to entrees or just a simple dessert. Park 75 is one of only two Mobil Four-Star restaurants in Georgia.

The restaurant is located inside Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta at 75 14th Street. More information is available by calling 404-253-3840.
